Charles Babbage was born on December 6, 1791 and died on October 18, 1871. Babbage was a mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer. Something he is best known for is creating the concept of a programable computer. He attended the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England. Charles Babbage had 8 children in total.
